Martin Lawrence confirms Bad Boys 3 is in development

MARTIN Lawrence has confirmed that Bad Boys 3 is now in development.
Speaking on Conan O’Brien’s Talk show in the US, the comedy actor said that everything was looking good and that he was expecting the three-quel to go into production soon.
“I believe so, yes,” he said in response to whether audiences were likely to get the long talked about third movie anytime soon.
“I just talked to [producer] Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real; they’re working on the script, they’re getting close, and it all looks good.”
Bruckheimer has reportedly been developing a script for the star vehicle, which co-headlines Will Smith, since last September.
It has not yet been confirmed whether Smith has agreed to take part, although Lawrence suggested that he would when, in answer to a request from O’Brien that he might cameo, he joked: “I will mention to Will Smith and Jerry Bruckheimer that Conan wants a cameo in the movie.”
The Bad Boys franchise has previously been directed by Michael Bay – but while the first film was a critical and commercial hit, the sequel was less well received by reviewers.
