ACCLAIMED British actor and Jameson Cult Film Club ambassador Matthew Goode has announced the Irish Whiskey brand’s initial 2012 line up of free cult film events.

On March 21 at the Saatchi Gallery, London film fans will be treated to a Jameson Cult Film Club first.

For the 2012 ‘Future Cult’ screening – where a film that could go on to be a cult film of the future is chosen – Jameson will give fans access to a special preview screening of the highly anticipated Scandinavian thriller, Jo Nesbo’s Headhunters, before the film goes on general release on April 6.

The film – an adaptation of award-winning Scandinavian thriller writer Jo Nesbo’s best-selling novel – is a stylish, pacey, gruesome and often darkly hilarious film, well worthy of ‘Future Cult’ status.

Cast and filmakers are also scheduled to be in attendance at the event and Cult Film Club fans will have the chance to participate in a live Q&A at the screening.

Then on Tuesday, March 6 at Birmingham Town Hall, Jameson will take Birmingham film fans back in time, for a showing of the quintessential 80’s classic, Back to the Future.

Throwing guests back to 1955, Birmingham Town Hall will be transformed into the Hill Valley Courthouse for one very special evening, playing host to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.

Matthew Goode commented: “I’m a fan of cult films, so when Jameson approached me to come on board as their cult film club ambassador, I was only too pleased.

“The initial line-up for 2012 already looks beautifully balanced, with cult classics like The Birds alongside The Usual Suspects having already been shown, and with the Future Cult preview screening of Headhunters still to come; I am looking forward to seeing what other films will make the cut this year.”
