McG admits to being headbutted by Bill Murray
Story by Jack Foley
TERMINATOR Salvation director McG has confessed to once being headbutted by comedy actor Bill Murray.
In an interview with The Guardian, the filmmaker was asked about the now infamous on-set rant delivered by Christian Bale that provided the latest Terminator movie with some unwanted publicity.
Not wishing to be drawn any further on the issue, McG did reveal that he is no stranger to on-set heated exchanges, admitting: “I don’t think there’s been a film I’ve made where there hasn’t been some kind of physical fight… I’ve been headbutted by an A-list star. Square in the head. An inch later and my nose would have been obliterated.”
When pushed to reveal who clobbered him, McG added: “I probably shouldn’t – but it was Bill Murray. Y’know, it’s a passionate industry.”
McG and Murray worked together on the original Charlie’s Angels movie. Ironically, Murray withdrew from the sequel, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, to be replaced by the late Bernie Mac.
Terminator Salvation opens in cinemas tomorrow.

The guy probably deserved it. Look what a mess he’s made of Terminator and Charlies Angels was hardly a masterpiece!
