Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn to reunite for Dragged Across Concrete

Mel Gibson directs Apocalypto

Story by Jack Foley

MEL Gibson and Vince Vaughn are to renite for gritty new crime thriller Dragged Across Concrete.

To be written and directed by Bone Tomahawk filmmaker S. Craig Zahler, the thriller will focus on two policemen, one an old-timer (Gibson), the other his volatile younger partner (Vaughn), who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics is seized upon by the media.

Low on cash and options, the duo descend into the criminal underworld to gain their just rewards, but instead find far more than they wanted awaiting them in the shadows.

For Vaughn, Dragged Across Concrete also marks a reunion with Zahler, who only recently directed him in Brawl in Cell Block 99, a prison drama that also stars Jennifer Carpenter and Don Johnson.

He worked with Gibson on the Oscar-nominated Hacksaw Ridge (which Gibson directs), where he played a scenery chewing drill sergeant who puts Andrew Garfield’s new recruit through the ringer.
