Michael Bay to produce Trump-like Little America

MICHAEL Bay is to produce a new film that’s set in a a dystopian future where a Donald Trump-like president has bankrupt America and China has called in its debts.

Little America is being described as a futuristic adventure movie that’s billed as ‘sci-fun’ story rather than ‘sci-fi’, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to finding itself debt-ridden, America is now owned by China while many Americans have immigrated to China looking for work.

Entering into the fray are is a former American Force Recon member who is hired by a Chinese billionaire to go into an American ghetto and rescue his daughter.

Sources describe the project as being similar to John Carpenter’s cult classic Escape From New York, starring Kurt Russell.

Rowan Athale, the British filmmaker behind 2012’s crime thriller Wasteland, wrote the spec and is attached to direct, with Bay and his Platinum Dunes on board to produce.

Universal has won an intense bidding war to pick up the rights to the movie.
