Take Shelter

Story by Jack Foley

MICHAEL Shannon and Chris Hemsworth are to star in new war story Horse Soldiers.

The true story will follow a team of US Special Forces who are deployed to the mountainous regions of Afghanistan in the wake of 9/11 to flush out the Taliban – on horseback.

The screenplay for the film has been adapted from the book of the same name by Peter Craig and Ted Tally. Doug Stanton wrote the book.

As yet, there is no word on a release date.

Hemsworth is currently filming Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok and is also set to appear in the next Star Trek movie as Captain Kirk’s father.

Shannon was most recently seen in Midnight Special and will next be seen in two of this year’s festival hot tickets – Jeff Nichols’ Loving and Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals.
