Michelle Yeoh joins Avatar sequels

MICHELLE Yeoh has been cast in the Avatar sequels as scientist Dr. Karina Mogue

Announcing the news, director James Cameron said: “Throughout her career, Michelle has always created unique and memorable characters. I look forward to working with Michelle to do the same thing on the Avatar sequels.”

Yeoh is recognized as one of the greatest and the most successful international actresses. She can most recently be seen starring in John M. Chu’s romantic comedy, Crazy Rich Asians, and in CBSStar Trek: Discovery.

The former Bond girl is best known for her roles in Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Rob Marshall’s Memoirs of a Geisha, Roger Spottiswoode’s James Bond entry Tomorrow Never Dies and Danny Boyle’s Sunshine.

Yeoh also starred in Luc Besson’s critically acclaimed The Lady and voiced a role in the Dreamworks animated hit, Kung Fu Panda 2.

Michelle will next be seen in Paul Feig’s Last Christmas alongside Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding and in Joe Carnahan’s Boss Level.
