Natalie Dormer joins The Hunger Games: Mockingjay

NATALIE Dormer has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, the third movie in the franchise.

The Game of Thrones actress will play Cressida, a defector from the abusive overlords in the Capitol, according to Variety.

She joins a cast that will include returning stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

Francis Lawrence will direct the adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel, which is being divided into two parts – the first of which is due to arrive in cinemas in November 2014.

Lawrence is also directing the forthcoming second film in the series, Catching Fire, which is out on November 21, 2013.

Dormer can still be seen in Game of Thrones, as Margaery Tyrell. The show is currently filming its fourth season.

Her other credits include playing Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s The Tudors, Irene Adler in Elementary and Pvt. Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger. She will also shortly be seen in F1 biopic Rush.
