Neil Marshall gets set to Burst

Neil Marshall directs Doomsday

Story by Jack Foley

BRITISH director Neil Marshall will be returning to horror for his next movie, the 3D fright flick Burst.

The film will follow a group of travellers who find themselves stranded in a blizzard where they are gradually picked off, one by one, by a mysterious force that kills them via spontaneous combustion.

Marshall will direct for Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures, based on a script by Gary Dauberman. It will mark the first time that Marshall has directed from someone else’s screenplay, according to Variety.

Marshall shot to prominence off the back of horror films Dog Soldiers and The Descent. He has just finished work on his Roman epic, Centurion, starring Michael Fassbender.
