Nicolas Cage and Laurence Fishburne to star in Running With The Devil

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Story by Jack Foley

NICOLAS Cage and Laurence Fishburne are to co-star in new drug trade thriller Running With The Devil.

Written and directed by Jason Cabell, a former active combat Navy SEAL, the film will draw from some of Cabell’s real-life experiences. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he worked with the DEA in Colombia and served in more than 100 countries, including Iraq.

Running With The Devil will pick-up as a cocaine shipment is compromised to the dismay of a cartel leader known as The Boss (to be played by Saving Private Ryan‘s Barry Pepper).

To investigate what happened, The Boss orders his most trusted man, Cook (played by Cage), and another master drug trafficker, known as The Man (Fishburne), on a dangerous journey to audit the company’s supply chain.

The cast further includes Clifton Collins Jr, as The Farmer, who works with his wife and children in the jungles of Colombia, and Close Hauser as The Executioner, who helps the Cook and The Man.

Adam Goldberg will play The Snitch, who is compromised and threatens to reveal secrets, while Leslie Bibb is Agent in Charge, alongside Peter Facinelli, her Number One, who dog the Cartel.

Cage is currently getting back to positive reviews, following the response to his latest action movie, Mandy, at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, as well as his gonzo performance in horror-drama Mom and Dad, which opens in UK cinemas later this year.
