Noomi Rapace to reprise Prometheus role in Alien: Covenant

Prometheus

Story by Jack Foley

CONTRARY to previous expectation, Noomi Rapace will be in Alien: Covenant, the keenly anticipated sequel to Prometheus.

The actress will reprise her role of Dr Elizabeth Shaw, who was one of the few survivors of Ridley Scott’s 2012 sci-fi prequel.

Scott had previously stated that Rapace’s character would not be in Covenant, despite apparently being lined up to do so by the climactic events of the first film. Now, however, it appears that plans have changed.

She will therefore return to the fray alongside former co-star Michael Fassbender, as the android David, and incoming cast members Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston and Danny McBride.

Scott is once again directing the feature, which is currently filming in Australia ahead of its release in cinemas in August 2017.

Although plot details remain sketchy, Covenant will follow a new crew of explorers that are bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy.
