The Two Faces of January

Story by Jack Foley

OSCAR Isaac and Christian Bale will star in indie drama The Promise.

To be directed by Terry George.(of Hotel Rwanda fame), the film will take place during the final days of the Ottoman Empire and will focus on the relationships between Michael (Isaac), a brilliant medical student; the beautiful and sophisticated Ana (as yet uncast); and Chris (Bale), a renowned American journalist based in Paris.

George and Robin Swicord co-wrote the screenplay.

Shooting is due to take place in Southern Europe, including Portugal and the Canary Islands, this autumn.

Having recently won widespread acclaim for his roles in Ex_Machina and A Most Violent Year, Isaac has a couple big years ahead of him, starring in both Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, which opens in December, and next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

Bale recently appeared in Ridley Scott’s Biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings and has Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups and The Big Short, with Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling, among his forthcoming projects.
