The Two Faces of January

Story by Jack Foley

OSCAR Isaac is to play the main villain in X-Men: Apocalypse.

The Apocalypse character was teased during the post-credits sequence of this year’s Days of Future Past.

According to X-Men lore, the character was born in the ancient Middle East and takes the form of a gray-skinned immortal with a host of powers that range from super-strength to telepathy to morphing his body’s form and size.

The story will take place in the ’80s.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be directed by Bryan Singer and is based on a script by Simon Kinberg that Singer had an active part in developing.

Michael Fassbender will return as Magneto, James McAvoy reprises his role as Professor X and Jennifer Lawrence will return as Mystique. A search is currently on for actors to play young versions of Cyclops and Jean Grey/Marvel Girl.

Isaac is fast becoming one of the buzz actors of the moment following acclaimed performances in Inside Llewyn Davis, The Two Faces of January and Drive.

He will also shortly be seen in JC Chandor’s awards season hopeful A Most Violent Year, a 1980s-set crime drama with Jessica Chastain, and recently wrapped a role in JJ Abrams’ new Star Wars movie.
