Penelope Cruz to play Blackbeard's daughter on fourth Pirates

PENELOPE Cruz is to play Blackbeard’s daughter on fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides.
She will also indulge in a little romance with Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow and maintain a “feisty” presence throughout.
The revelations were made by producer Michael Bay while talking to MTV, during which he was pleased to report that the Oscar-winning actress brings “a lot of humour to it”.
As previously announced, Blackbeard will be played by Ian McShane, but Bay also confirmed rumours that Geoffrey Rush will return as Captain Hector Barbossa, to offer competition to both Captain Jack and Blackbeard.
Filming is due to commence in June in preparation for a release in summer 2011.
