Principal photography begins on Brad Pitt's Allied

PRINCIPAL photography has commenced on Paramount Pictures and GK Films’ Allied, starring Academy Award®-nominee Brad Pitt and Academy Award®-winner Marion Cotillard.

The film is directed by Academy Award®-winning director Robert Zemeckis.

It is shooting in London, with production also taking place in the Canary Islands.

The romantic thriller features an original story written by Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Locke, and co-stars Jared Harris, Lizzy Caplan and Matthew Goode.

Allied is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.

Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.

The film will be released on November 23, 2016.
