Prometheus sequel is moving forward

Story by Jack Foley

A SEQUEL to Prometheus is moving forward with Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender both attached.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Twentieth Century Fox is satisfied enough with the film’s global box office, which sits at a respectable $303 million, to push ahead with the follow-up.

However, a new writer may have to be found as co-writer Damon Lindelof might not be available.

But confirming the news, Fox president of production Emma Watts said: “[Sir] Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it.”

Scott himself is busier than ever and is currently getting set to make The Counsellor.

But any Prometheus sequel would be released in 2014 or 2015, so the director won’t be resting on his laurels.
