Rambo 5 to be called Last Blood as plot details revealed

Rambo 5: Last Blood

Story by Jack Foley

THE final chapter in Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo franchise is to be called Rambo 5: Last Blood.

The film has already started shooting and posted a first-look picture last week of Stallone wearing a Stetson and donning a cowboy look.

The film has now added Paz Vega to the cast. And, according to Empire, she will play a character named Carmen Delgado, a reporter covering the drug trade in Mexico.

When a cartel kidnaps her daughter, she enlists John Rambo on a rescue mission.

Rambo 5: Last Blood will be directed by Adrian Grunberg and is based on a script that’s been co-written by Stallone and Matt Cirulnick.

As yet, there’s no official release date for the film but sometime in 2019 is a reasonable expectation.

Grunberg has previously worked as first assistant director on films such as Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Edge of Darkness and Apocalypto, as well as directing the Mel Gibson prison thriller How I Spent My Summer Vacation.
