Rebecca Hall joins Jason Sudeikis for Tumbledown

Rebecca Hall in The Awakening

Story by Jack Foley

REBECCA Hall is to star opposite Jason Sudeikis in new romantic comedy Tumbledown.

The film will follow a young widow (Hall) who is unable to move on after the death of her husband, an acclaimed musician and the subject of a biography she’s struggling to write, as she teams up with a brash New York academic (Sudeikis) who has an entirely different take on her husband’s life and death.

Blythe Danner and Joe Manganiello have also been cast in the project, which is being directed by Sean Mewshaw from a script by Desi Van Til.

Shooting is due to commence in March 2014 on location in Massachusetts.

Producers Kristin Hahn and Aaron L Gilbert said in a statement: “Speaking on behalf of our entire creative team, we feel like we won the lottery with Rebecca Hall joining our cast. She brings such soulfulness to everything she does and when we imagine her incredible wit paired with the genius of Sudeikis and the enormous talent of our supporting cast, it gives us goose bumps that we can’t wait to transfer to the screen.”

Hall was most recently seen in the films Iron Man 3 and Closed Circuit, while Sudeikis is hot after the success of We’re The Millers.
