Rihanna to make movie debut in Battleship

SINGER Rihanna is to make her movie debut alongside True Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgard in Universal’s Battleship.
Based on Hasbro’s naval combat board game, the Peter Berg directed movie will take place across the seas, over the skies and land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force.
It is not yet known what role Rihanna will play, although Skarsgard is on board as the brother of the naval officer who leads the fight against the superior enemy (played by Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch).
The film is being set for a May 25, 2012, release in the US and filming is expected to commence soon.
