Remember Me

Story by Jack Foley

ROBERT Pattinson and Dane DeHaan are to unite for new film Life.

The project is being developed by the producing team behind The King’s Speech and will chronicle the true story about the friendship between James Dean and Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock.

DeHaan will play Dean while Pattinson will portray Stock.

Anton Corbijn, of Control and The American fame, is directing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stock was a young photographer working for the Magnum agency when he received an assignment to shoot a free-spirited actor named James Dean. The two men subsequently became friends while travelling from LA to New York to Indiana.

It was Stock who captured the now iconic images of Dean before he was launched to stardom in East of Eden in 1955.

Luke Davies has penned the script.

The film is due to start shooting in early 2014.

DeHaan shot to prominence in found-footage sci-fi movie Chronicle and has since appeared in The Place Beyond The Pines. He has The Devil’s Knot, directed by Atom Egoyan, premiering at Toronto, and will also appear as Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Pattinson recently completed David Cronenberg’s Maps To The Stars as well as The Rover, a futuristic thriller co-starring Guy Pearce.
