Russell Brand in talks for raunchy comedy Pierre Pierre

Get Him To The Greek

Story by Jack Foley

RUSSELL Brand is reportedly in early talks to star in raunchy new comedy Pierre Pierre for director Larry Charles.

According to Variety, the film would follow an obnoxious French nihilist (to be played by Brand) who transports a stolen painting from Paris to London.

En route, he crosses paths with a French police inspector, a serial killer named Pigeonshit and his own brothel-owning mother.

The film is described as a “politically-incorrect” comedy, while the script has previously resided on Hollywood’s infamous Black List. It has previously had Jim Carrey and Jason Reitman attached to star and direct.

Brand, who recently saw his new TV show Brand X picked up for more episodes in the US, has also recently completed filming on Diablo Cody’s untitled directorial debut, which will see him reunited with his Rock of Ages co-star Julianne Hough.

He has also leant his voice to a role in animated sequel Despicable Me 2 and is also attached to star in The Hauntrepreneur.

Charles, meanwhile, is best known for his recent work with Sacha Baron Cohen on films Borat and, more recently, The Dictator.
