Drive

Story by Jack Foley

RYAN Gosling has been teasing some details about the preparation he is currently doing for new film Only God Forgives, which reunites him with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at at the Hua Hin International Film Festival in Bangkok, the actor said he was very excited to be making a film in Bangkok.

Gosling has spent most of his time so far preparing for Muay Thai boxing scenes in the upcoming film, which has required two to three hour training sessions each day.

He also revealed that Refn is training with him so as to fully honour the Muay Thai culture and the strong local film culture.

Indeed, Gosling noted that some of the fighters he has been working with are as young as six… adding: ““It’s very hard. They have people training around me and they could all beat me up!”

Although plot details are sketchy about Only God Forgives, Refn has promised it will be violent.

And hopes are high given the critical success of Drive, which put the actor and director together in the first place.

Gosling also talked about his intention to remake Logan’s Run with Refn, which is among “a lot of plans” this partnership has for the future.
