SACHA Baron Cohen is reportedly in talks to join Disney’s Alice in Wonderland sequel.

If successful, the casting would reunite Cohen with Johnny Depp for the first time since Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in 2007.

It is not yet known what role Cohen would take.

But the sequel also brings back Mia Wasikowska as Alice and is being directed by James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted) instead of Tim Burton.

A release date has already been set for Memorial Day weekend in 2016 in the US with shooting scheduled to begin in June or July this year.

The first Alice in Wonderland became a world-wide box office smash in spring 2010, grossing $1.02 billion.

Cohen is also set to star in Grimsby, a spy spoof from Paramount.
