Journey's End

Story by Jack Foley

SAM Claflin has joined Timothy Spall in the contemporary crime thriller The Corrupted.

Directed by Ron Scalpello, the film will see Claflin playing an ex-con determined to win back the love and trust of his family, having had his future stolen from him by a crime syndicate run by Clifford Cullen, played by Spall, who has infiltrated the highest levels of politics, finance and police.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Claflin’s character finds himself caught up in a web of conspiracy and corruption that’s based around a land grab just before the Olympic Games in London.

The ensemble cast further includes Downton Abbey luminary Hugh Bonneville, as well as David Hayman and Naomie Ackie.

The film is based on a script by Nick Moorcroft.

Claflin shot to fame in blockbusters such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and The Hunger Games. He can currently be seen in UK cinemas in the critically-acclaimed First World War drama Journey’s End.
