Sam Worthington set to join Schwarzenegger in Ten

Story by Jack Foley

AVATAR‘S Sam Worthington is in talks to star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in David Ayer’s action-thriller Ten.

If successful, the on-screen pairing would see two former Terminator stars appearing in the same film. Arnie played the original Terminator in the first three movies, while Worthington was part of the Terminator Salvation reboot.

Ayer is the man behind classic crime thrillers Training Day and Harsh Times (which saw him working with another Terminator star in Christian Bale) as well as the forthcoming gritty police flick End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena.

According to Variety, Worthington has an offer for Ten that he plans to accept.

Described as “a testosterone-heavy riff on Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians, Ayer’s film would follow an elite DEA task force that robs a dangerous drug cartel under the guise of a tactical raid on one of its safe houses.

They think they’ve gotten away with millions in merch, until team members begin getting bumped off one by one.
