Sarah Silverman in talks to play prostitute for Seth MacFarlane
Story by Jack Foley
SARAH Silverman is in talks to join the cast of Seth MacFarlane’s comedy Western A Million Ways to Die in the West.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress and comedian would play the town’s ‘well-worn prostitute’.
Her character engages in all sorts of lewd activities but refuses to have sex with her fiancé (played by Giovanni Ribisi), believing that as Christians the couple should wait until marriage to consumate their relationship.
If successful, Silverman would join a star-studded cast that already includes Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Ribisi (who worked with MacFarlane on his box office hit Ted) and the writer-director himself.
The plot follows a cowardly sheep farmer (MacFarlane) who chickens out of a gunfight, only to see his girlfriend (Seyfried) leave him for another man.
But when a mysterious woman (Theron) rides into town and helps him find his courage, he quickly finds that new bravery put to the test when her outlaw husband (Neeson) arrives seeking revenge.
Shooting is due to begin in the spring.
Silverman was most recently heard lending her vocals to Disney’s animated hit Wreck-It Ralph
