Scott Eastwood and Matilda Lutz join Ecstasia

SCOTT Eastwood and Matilda Lutz are to head up the cast of new sci-fi drama Ecstasia.

The story will focus on a couple who live in a world where love no longer exists and will unfold during their final days together before their love expires.

Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Running Scared) has written the screenplay and will also direct, with production scheduled to begin in spring 2017 in South Africa.

Eastwood is poised for a breakout year. He most recently was seen in superhero adventure Suicide Squad and will next be seen in Oliver Stone’s Snowden and Ben Affleck’s Live by Night, as well as Fast & Furious 8, where he plays a newly created character who fills the void left by the death of the franchise’s Paul Walker.

In addition, Eastwood – son of screen icon Clint – will also will star in Pacific Rim: Maelstrom alongside John Boyega.

Lutz is also a rising star of the moment having recently headlined Paramount’s third instalment of The Ring franchise, entitled Rings, as well as appearing in Gabriele Muccino’s Summertime.
