Sigourney Weaver to reunite with Ridley Scott on Exodus
Story by Jack Foley
SIGOURNEY Weaver is to reunite with Alien director Ridley Scott for Biblical epic Exodus.
The actress, who shot to prominence in her signature role of Ripley in Scott’s original 1979 sci-fi classic, has signed on to play Tuya, mother of Ramses (Joel Edgerton) in the movie.
Christian Bale will star as Moses, John Turturro is Weaver’s husband and Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul is all but certain to play a Hebrew slave.
Shooting on the movie is scheduled to begin in September on location in Spain, Morocco and England.
The script has been re-written by Steve Zaillian from a previous version by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage.
Weaver recently finished her run in the Tony-winning Broadway play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.
