Skyfall scribe to pen next two 007 movies as single story

Story by Jack Foley

JOHN Logan, one of the scriptwriters for Skyfall, has reportedly started work on a new script that will see the next two James Bond movies follow the same story arc.

According to various online reports, the former Gladiator writer successfully pitched the two-film arc to Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson during shooting on Skyfall and is now working on the scripts.

There have been no rumours linked as to what the plot would involve, although it is not apparently based on any of Ian Fleming’s novels.

The last Bond story to be split across two films also starred Daniel Craig and was Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace – although, in the latter’s case, audiences generally agreed that the second half failed to realise the potential set up by the first.

Skyfall is expected to dominate the UK box office now that it has officially opened in UK cinemas following a Royal World Premiere earlier in the week.
