SPECTRE: First-look image released of Daniel Craig

Story by Jack Foley

THE very first image of Daniel Craig as James Bond in new 007 adventure SPECTRE has just been released.

The shot, taken on location in Austria, features Craig dressed in black, in the snow, holding a gun. It is taken from one of the major action sequences in the film, footage of which has also been released.

Commenting on the release and the sequence it is taken from, Spectre associate producer Gregg Wilson said: “We have to deliver an amazing sequence and this is going to be one of the major action sequences of the movie, a jewel in the crown so to speak. It’s going to be spectacular and Austria seemed to offer everything that we needed to pull it off.”

Production Designer Dennis Gassner adds: “The thing that Sam and I talked about was how we are going to top Skyfall, it’s going to be Spectre and so far it’s a great start. I think that we are going to continue the history of the Bond films, making things that are exciting for the audience to look at and what could be more exciting than to be on top of the world.”

In the film, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation.

While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

SPECTRE will be released on November 6, 2015.
