SONY has officially unveiled the name of Tom Holland’s first stand-alone Spider-Man film: Spider-Man Homecoming.

The title was confirmed during Sony’s presentation at CinemaCon on Tuesday night (April 12, 2016).

The studio also brought out Holland, who will star as the young Peter Parker, as the surprise guest, having flown the young star to Las Vegas straight from the premiere of Captain America: Civil War in Hollywood – the film in which his character makes his official Marvel debut.

They also revealed a clip from the film, which showed Parker meeting Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, who drops by his Aunt May’s (Marisa Tomei) house.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be directed by Jon Watts and is due to be released in cinemas on July 7, 2017.
