Star Wars: A New Hope to get live orchestra treatment at Royal Albert Hall

GEORGE Lucas’ original Star Wars: A New Hope is to be given the live orchestra treatment at London’s Royal Albert Hall and beyond.

The classic movie is the latest silver screen epic to be given the live treatment, following the likes of Jurassic Park.

A total of five special concerts have been announced at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November, with The London Symphony Orchestra recreating the iconic score. It will be the first time the film has been presented live in the UK.

The London shows will be followed by a UK tour, at which other orchestras will take over.

The live dates are (all November and December 2018)

16 – 18 – London, Royal Albert Hall (November 16, 7:30pm; 17, 2pm and 7:30pm; 18, 2pm and 6:30pm)
28 – Liverpool, Echo Arena
29 – Bournemouth, International Centre

December
1 – Manchester, Arena
5 – Dublin, 3Arena
7 – Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena
8 – Leeds, First Direct Arena
9 – Glasgow, SECC

Tickets go on sale for the events on Friday, February 2.
