SAGE Stallone, the 36-year-old son of actor-director Sylvester Stallone, has been found dead at a house in Los Angeles.

Authorities are investigating the death but there was no sign of foul play or trauma, according to a corner. No suicide note was found.

Los Angeles police said they were dispatched to investigate a death at a home on Mulholland Terrace at around 2.15pm on Friday, July 13.

According to George Braunstein, a lawyer who has represented Sage Stallone for 15 years, a housekeeper found his body.

Michelle Bega, a publicist for Sylvester Stallone, issued a statement saying: “Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son. His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha.”

She added: “Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever.”

Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of Sylvester Stallone’s children, having been born on May 5, 1976.

He co-starred with his father in two films, making his acting debut alongside his father in Rocky V in 1990, where he played Robert Balboa.

He also appeared with his father in the 1996 disaster movie Daylight.

In 1996, he and film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles based company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of exploitation films.

While in recent years, Sage directed his first short film, Vic, which screened at the 2006 Palm Springs, California Film Festival.

Sage’s lawyer, Braunstein, revealed that his client had been planning on getting married for the first time and had frequent requests to work on films.

“He was a full of life filmmaker with his whole future ahead of him. He was just very up and enthusiastic and positive.”
