Terence Stamp joins Tim Burton's Big Eyes

Song For Marion

Story by Jack Foley

TERENCE Stamp has joined the cast of Tim Burton’s Big Eyes.

The veteran actor will join Christoph Waltz, Amy Adams, Jason Schwartzman, Krysten Ritter and Danny Huston in the ensemble drama which is based on the true story of Margaret and Walter Keane (played by Adams and Waltz), who created pictures of large-eyed children that became a sensation in the ’50s and ’60s.

But while Walter claimed credit for the works, a subsequent legal battle eventually revealed that his former wife had created all the paintings.

Stamp will play John Canaday, a senior art critic at The New York Times who is appalled by Walter’s success.

The actor was most recently seen starring alongside Vanessa Redgrave in the critically-acclaimed Song For Marion.
