THE Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is to receive its premiere at London’s O2 Arena, to an audience of 10,000.

In what Disney has promised will be the “biggest single screen, shared audience experience ever”, the O2 Arena will be installed with a giant cinema screen for the first time in its history on Thursday, June 19 (one week ahead of the film’s general release).

Prince Caspian is the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to 2005’s The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and finds sexy British newcomer Ben Barnes playing the rightful heir to the Narnia throne, who joins the Pevensie siblings in the battle against the evil King Miraz.

It is based on the best selling series of books by CS Lewis.

According to Disney, the sequel is “bigger and more spectacular than ever before” with more action scenes, visual effects and a darker tone.

Tickets for the UK premiere are now on sale to the public and a donation of the cash made will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

The film has already received its world premiere in New York [on Wednesday, May 7, 2008] when cast members, including Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, Ben Barnes, Peter Dinklage, Anna Popplewell and William Moseley were in attendance.

The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian opens in UK cinemas on Thursday, June 26.
