The Croods

Story by Jack Foley

DREAMWorks Animation has greenlit a sequel to its caveman hit The Croods.

The announcement confirmed that Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, who wrote and directed the original, will return in their respective capacities for the follow-up.

In the US, the film has made $144 million, while nternationally it has grossed over $242 million to date.

The film follows a family of cavemen – voiced by Emma Stone and Nicolas Cage among others – and the human (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) who guides them through a fantastical world.

Negotiations have now commenced with the key vocal talent to bring them back for the sequel. As yet, no release date has been set.
