Timothy Olyphant in Die Hard 4.0

Story by Jack Foley

TIMOTHY Olyphant is in talks to star opposite Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The news comes just days after it emerged that Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds is also in talks to star in the film along with Tarantino regulars Tim Roth, Kurt Russell and Michael Madsen, who all starred in the director’s last project, The Hateful Eight.

The movie, based around the Manson murders, will be set in Los Angeles in 1969 and follows Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), a former star of a Western TV series, and his long-time stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt), as they struggle to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore.

However, Rick has a very famous next-door neighbour, in the form of Sharon Tate.

Tarantino wrote the movie and will produce.

Sony has given Once Upon a Time in Hollywood a worldwide release date of August 9, 2019.

Olyphant currently stars in the Netflix comedy Santa Clarita Diet, which has just been renewed for a third season. He is also famous for the acclaimed TV series Deadwood and Justified, while movie credits include playing the villain in Die Hard 4.0.
