Twilight franchise leads People's Choice Movie nominations

VAMPIRE saga Twilight leads the nominations for this year’s People’s Choice Awards having been nominated in seven out of 12 movie categories.
The film’s stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are in line for best actor and actress, while co-stars Anna Kendrick and Taylor Lautner are also shortlisted for breakout actor and actress.
Twilight is also in the running for Favourite Movie, as well as best franchise, while Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner are up for best on-screen team.
Other films to feature prominently among this year’s list of nominees include Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince, The Proposal and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds is up against (500) Days of Summer, Paranormal Activity and District 9 in the best independent movie category.
Fans can vote for their selections online at the People’s Choice Awards website and the winners will be announced at a ceremony on January 6, 2010.
