Two Days, One Night to open Summer Screen at Somerset House series (2014)

TWO Days, One Night, the new film from acclaimed filmmakers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, is to kick off the Film4 Summer Screen series at Somerset House this year.
Described as a riveting French drama about a young woman fighting to keep her job, the film features a typically memorable performance from Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard.
It will be screened at London’s iconic venue on Thursday, August 7, 2014, with tickets costing £24 plus booking fee.
This year’s line-up also includes a number of classic films as well as the UK premieres of What We Do in the Shadows and 20,000 Days on Earth.
Woody Allen’s classic Annie Hall is among the line-up, as is a double bill of A Fistful of Dollars and Mad Max 2 and ’80s classics Ghostbusters and Big Trouble in Little China.

Celebrating 10 years of cinema under the stars, Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House is back for 14 nights with a special anniversary season.
Classic, cult, contemporary, never-seen-before films, plus a public vote winning title will feature on London’s largest screen with full surround sound in the spectacular neoclassical setting of Somerset House.
As the sun sets, live DJs will play as cinema-goers chill out in the courtyard with picnics and drinks. Selected screenings will also be specially introduced by the film’s stars and directors.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, May 16, 2014.
