Story by Jack Foley

FORMER Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.

An adaptation of the Jordan Belfort memoir, the film will follow the rise and fall of Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker whose Wall Street career, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life, ended with a 20-month prison term for securities fraud.

Scorsese regular Leonardo DiCaprio is playing Belfort, while Bernthal will play a drug dealer and money launderer.

He joins Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin and Margot Robbie as recent additions to the cast.

Bernthal played conflicted cop Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead but surprised many when his character was dramatically killed off at the end of season two.

He is currently in production as the lead in Frank Darabont’s new TNT series, LA Noir and has also recently completed filming on Ric Roman Waugh’s action drama Snitch, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon.
