Win tickets to a London screening of The Wicker Man and Memory Band concert
Preview by Jack Foley
ON FRIDAY, September 27, 2013, following a screening of The Wicker Man, The Memory Band will once again perform live songs from the film’s soundtrack at the Curzon Soho cinema in London.
The line-up will include Stephen Cracknell, Hannah Caughlin (The Bicycle Thieves & The Accidental), Fred Thomas (F-IRE Collective, The Beguilers), Olie Brice and Danyal Dhondy.
The screening and live performance serve as a launch event for the re-release of cult horror film The Wicker Man on September 27, in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the film’s original release.
For several years, The Memory Band have toured music and songs from Paul Giovanni’s haunting soundtrack to The Wicker Man, including to great acclaim at Glastonbury, Green Man and the Big Chill festivals, as well as on the Southbank for Caught By The River.
Featuring an ever-changing live line-up, The Memory Band have released 4 original albums to date: Apron Strings, Oh My Days and, most recently, On the Chalk.
The Wicker Man: Final Cut is back in cinemas on September 27 and on DVD/BD on October 14.
