Win tickets to an exclusive Love & Friendship Q&A with Kate Beckinsale and Whit Stillman!

Love & Friendship

This Saturday evening, Kate Beckinsale and director Whit Stillman will take to the stage at Curzon Chelsea to talk about their new film, Love & Friendship – and we’ve got tickets to giveaway to a handful of lucky readers!

Beautiful young widow Lady Susan Vernon (Kate Beckinsale) visits the estate of her in-laws to wait out the colourful rumours about her dalliances circulating through polite society.

Whilst ensconced there, she decides to secure a husband for herself and a future for her eligible but reluctant daughter, Frederica (Morfydd Clark).

In doing so, she attracts the simultaneous attentions of the young, handsome Reginald DeCourcy (Xavier Samuel), the rich and silly Sir James Martin (Tom Bennett) and the divinely handsome, but married, Lord Manwaring (Lochlann O’Mearain), complicating matters severely.

The film has been winning rave reviews across the board, with IndieLondon’s Rob Carnevale writing: “It’s refreshing to find a Jane Austen adaptation that’s as witty and subversive as Whit Stillman’s Love & Friendship.” Read the full review
