Your Name

Preview by Jack Foley

HAVING grossed more than 17 billion Yen (£135m) at the Japanese box office to date, Your Name tells the story of a teenage boy and girl who have never met, but who start to magically swap minds and bodies.

Soulful, fun, dazzling and romantic, Your Name has wowed audiences and received strong critical praise since its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival where it was also the first animated film to have competed in the festival’s official competition.

Your Name is directed by Makoto Shinkai, who is often hailed as Japan’s successor to Hayao Miyazaki.

In Your Name, Shinkai creates a film which leaps between the urban bustle of central Tokyo and the rural beauty of a country backwater, presented in the radiant detail that has made Shinkai’s films beloved by animation fans.

Your Name is coming to cinemas nationwide on November 24, 2016.

One lucky winner can be the owner of a Makoto Shinkai special box-set (including The Place Promised in our Early Days and Voices of a Distant Star) plus a limited edition Your Name poster.
