Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell re-team with Martin McDonagh's for Three Billboards

Story by Jack Foley

WOODY Harrelson and Sam Rockwell are to reunite with writer-director Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The duo will co-star alongside Frances McDormand in the long-gestating film, which is based on the true story of a woman whose daughter is murdered and takes on the local police after they fail to find the killers.

Rockwell and Harrelson last worked with McDonagh on the critically-acclaimed Seven Psychopaths, the director’s follow-up to In Bruges. Three Billboards would mark his third feature and has recently got the backing of Film4 and Fox Searchlight.

The film is set to start shooting in April in North Carolina and will be financed on a 50/50 basis by Film4 and Fox Searchlight.

McDonagh was recently hailed for his theatre work, with his latest West End production Hangmen being named best new play at the UK’s Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards.
