X-Men: Apocalypse - Destroy poster introduces the Four Horsemen

X-Men: Apocalypse

Story by Jack Foley

TWENTIETH Century Fox have released a new promotional image for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Entitled Destroy, the poster focuses on the characters on the wrong side of the upcoming conflict between good and evil, with Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac) hovering powerfully over his minions, helpfully called the Four Horsemen.

Alongside Magneto (Michael Fassbender), the Horsemen include three characters better known to X-Men fans as good guys: Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Angel (Ben Hardy).

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.

Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be released in cinemas and IMAX across the UK and Ireland on May 18, 2016.
