Zac Efron in talks for The Lucky One

ZAC Efron is in talks to star in a new adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel, The Lucky One.
The film, which already has Scott Hicks attached to direct, would follow the story of a Marine searching for a mysterious woman.
The novel has been adapted by Will Fetters.
If negotiations prove successful, Efron would play the Marine, who survives three tours in Iraq and attributes his good fortune to a photograph he carried of a woman he has never met.
He subsequently sets out to meet her when he returns to North Carolina.
Efron will next be seen in Universal’s Charlie St. Cloud, which opens in the US on Friday and in UK cinemas later this year.
