Zachary Levi calls on fans to help make Chuck: The Movie

Chuck: Season 3

Story by Jack Foley

CHUCK star Zachary Levi has issued a rallying call to fans to help turn the TV series into a movie.

The NBC comedy-drama, created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak, ended its small screen run last month after five years, during which it relied on fan support to keep going.

But while the show continued to lose viewers until the end, Levi is optimistic about its chances of making the leap to the big screen.

Talking to TV Line, the star envisaged a Kickstarter style approach, in reference to the online crowd-funding website which has raised as much as $2 million for video game projects.

He said: ““I want to do [a film] so bad. I would want to do it for the fans, but I would also want to do it selfishly so that our family could come back together and have some more fun.

“I really want to do it Kickstarter style [because] I want it to be something that the fans can all pitch in for… because we’ve always been supported and survived on our fans anyway.”

Levi will shortly be seen in a new TV series, the Fox comedy pilot Let It Go.

  1. I would pay for this as I’m desperate for a Chuck movie.
