ZACK Snyder has confirmed that his Superman movie Man of Steel plants a seed for Warner Bros potential Justice League movie.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he says the door is open for a DC Comics superhero ensemble to rival Marvel’s Avengers Assemble.

But he was quick to add that there is no firm plan in play to make the Justice League movie, or even to have him direct.

Hero Complex posed the question to Snyder ahead of a profile on the director that is due to appear in the Los Angeles Times on Sunday, June 16.

And he replied: “Do the DC characters exist in the universe I created? The answer is yes. In my mind, we have this fantastic character of Superman. It’s not madness that there would be others.

“Now, that being said, does a ‘Justice League’ movie exist now? No. Whether or not I ever get to make that movie, I don’t know.”

When pressed a little further on the likelihood of a Justice League movie, Snyder would only add: “What is real is that there’s a crack – a foot – in the door. That’s promising – the door is definitely open.”
