30 Seconds To Mars announce Brixton date

30 Seconds To Mars

Story by Jack Foley

FOLLOWING their incredibly successful recent world tour – which included two sold-out runs in the UK and a memorable performance at last month’s Download Festival – 30 Seconds to Mars will return to the UK for a one-night celebratory show on September 14, headlining London’s Brixton Academy.

Tickets are on general sale now. To book tickets, ring 0870 771 2000.

The band’s current album A Beautiful Lie has scanned over one million records in the US, in addition to setting radio records with The Kill, which peaked at No.3 and became the longest-running hit on the history of Billboard’s Modern Rock chart.

From Yesterday, meanwhile, made its way to No.1 on the same chart. And videos for The Kill and From Yesterday – the first American video shot entirely in the People’s Republic of China – have been celebrated worldwide, with awards from MTV, MTV2, MTVU and FUSE, among many others.

The band recently performed at the MTV Australia Awards, with an epic performance of The Kill, which saw them perform with a 12-piece string orchestra and 34-piece boys choir. They won MTV Best Rock Video and MTV Video Of The Year for The Kill.

The band is next scheduled to appear at the Summersonic festival in Japan.
