+44 announce UK dates

Story by Jack Foley

+44, the new band featuring former Blink 182 members Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, have announced a selection of UK dates in February 2007.

The six-date tour will kick off at London’s Brixton Academy and finish in Southampton.

The band was first introduced to the British public in September, when +44 played their second ever gig to a sold-out crowd at London’s Astoria.

During the following European promo dates it was discovered that Travis had been drumming with a broken arm for three weeks, which led to some rescheduling of the first leg of their American leg.

Not one to be deterred, Travis has learned the band’s set drumming with just one arm and the band are already back out on the road.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 1 for the following dates in February 2007.

3 – London Brixton Academy
4 – Nottingham Rock City
5 – Glasgow Academy
7 – Newcastle Academy
8 – Manchester Academy
9 – Southampton Guildhall
